Scope Description:
This project addressed the need for two (2) blast resistant operator shelters as well as an analyzer upgrade. Burrow Global provided multi-discipline design and engineering including foundation, utilities, electrical, sewer systems, phone and LAN systems design.

Burrow Global developed specifications for both buildings and associated critical systems including sanitary sewer system design for each building. A light-weight pipe-rack was designed to support utilities lines and conduits. Both shelters were equipped with a laboratory for testing process samples. The analyzer network was upgraded and the central controls installed in Building One(1). An independent alarm system was also designed and installed.

A Houston, Texas based contractor fabricated the buildings and Burrow Global personnel visited throughout the fabrication process to monitor progress and provide feedback on quality and compliance. Burrow Global design, fabricated and tested analyzer panels.Burrow Global also developed and executed building FAT and SAT specifications. The building FAT was conducted in Houston and the FAT for the H2S and LEL analyzer system in New Orleans. Building One(1) incorporated 5,760 sq. ft. Building Two(2) makes up 3,360 sq. ft. Foundations for both buildings were significant to meet blast requirements. Parking lots were designed for both shelter sites.

Project utilized EPCM Man-hours: 14,763 and was executed without incident.
