Scope Description:
Burrow Global’s scope was for Lump Sum Turnkey Construction of a 10,000 square foot 5 PSI blast resistant control building. The client provided engineering and design through outside services. This structure consisted of an elevated foundation with drilled pier footings, structural steel frame with 12” thick pre-cast concrete panels and a poured in place concrete roof deck with a single ply membrane roofing. The blast doors were rated at 6. 5 and 15 PSI, depending on their location. Interior finishes of the building included a full kitchen in the break room; two locker rooms with showers, offices, electrical switch gear rooms and a control room. The control room was equipped with the latest in lighting technology equipped with a faux skylight and a programmed fiber optic lighting scheme to simulate Circadian rhythms for 24/7 operator comfort. All tiled surfaces throughout the building were Italian ceramic with interior wall finishes of durable fabric.
