The new control building was located in the middle of the unit and BGS had to streamline the construction effort to avoid affecting daily operations at the plant.

Project Description: 
The Design-build 1 psi (4230 sf) blast-resistant Control Building, with spread footing foundations, CMU walls and concrete roof, structural steel, HVAC and Fire Alarm system, offices, mechanical room, electrical and battery room, control room and large restroom facilities. The construction also included exterior blast doors, interior and exterior lighting, main power and UPSP installation, millwork, appliances, membrane roof, gutters and downspouts, sidewalks and railings.

Design-build metal Maintenance Building (1271 sf) with spread footing foundation, 2 ton crane, and overhead door, walk doors, sidewalk and driveway.

The client was very satisfied with the project.
